Pitch Day!
In February 2020, with a business idea (STL Brew Lab) and a head full of steam, I enrolled in the Venture School program (powered by Venture Cafe - STL).
As strong as my scientific and beer background was, my knowledge of running a business was the opposite and I needed a crash course on which to build a foundation. Over the next 13 weeks, myself and my fellow Venture School classmates were taught the basics of launching a business by founders who were already out in the world succeeding.
Graduating from Venture School involved the drafting and delivering of a pitch of your business idea. Originally, this was supposed to be an in person pitch at a Venture Cafe - St. Louis gathering, but the pandemic forced it virtual. Despite the change of venue, it still went very well.
